Iberia heeft alle vluchten van en naar Spanje geschrapt door een wilde staking van luchtverkeersleiders. De maatregel geldt voorlopig tot zondagochtend 5 uur, aldus de luchtvaartmaatschappij vandaag.
Door de staking is het hele Spaanse luchtruim feitelijk gesloten voor luchtverkeer. Iberia deed een oproep aan alle reizigers naar Spanje niet naar de luchthavens te komen en passagiers die al op vliegvelden zijn naar huis te gaan. Tevens dringt de luchtvaartmaatschappij er bij klanten op aan vluchtinformatie online te volgen en niet te bellen om te voorkomen dat de telefoonlijnen overbelast raken.
Ook de Ierse prijsvechter Ryanair liet zaterdag weten alle vluchten op Spanje te schrappen. Ryanair komt zaterdagavond op zijn website met een update van de situatie.
